This original painting integrates pattern into the mountain peak landscape. It is painted on a linen gallery wrapped canvas. I experimented with creating a floral pattern in the top section by masking flowers using my own hand-cut flower stencils. Once the negative space was painted I removed the masked flowers to reveal the linen canvas along with some shading in graphite.
